A Bloggy About My Doggy

I never was much of a dog person. I think it was because growing up, my mother and sister had something like 8 or 9 ugly little ankle biter dogs. I think a few of them were even inbred. I never knew the pleasures of a doggy relationship until 2 years ago when we got Chloe.

We were told that she is a boxer/bull-mastiff mix. Who knows if this is true or not. Isn't she beautiful though. Unlike all the dogs in my past, I instantly loved this dog. She is the most cuddly, affectionate thing you will ever meet, though she looks as if she could just as easily have you for lunch as have you as a friend. I don't know what it is about her, but I don't think that I have ever loved anything (aside from my husband, of course) the way that I love this dog. When I'm away from her for more than a day I start to miss her like crazy. When some people imagine coming home and relaxing after a long day they probably picture their favorite chair, or laying in their bed with a nice book, but this picture for me wouldn't be complete without me cuddling up in my bed with my smooshy, humongous doggy. One of the ultimate joys of Chloe is wrapping your hands around her whole snout and giving her a big smooch on the lips. There is almost nothing better in this world.
